Capillary Concrete Insured Financial Guarantee Instructions

Capillary Concrete® and certain underwriters at Lloyds of London insurance have worked together to create an unprecedented Insured Financial Guarantee Program for bunker installation. Our Performance Guarantee provides ultimate peace-of-mind and security when purchasing Capillary Concrete patented technology for bunker construction (Patent no US 9,095,763 B2).

To obtain this insurance, the insured must meet the following conditions:

  1. Appoint a person who is responsible for the installation and that it is done according to regulations and instructions and who will submit the installation approval as described below. This must be done before the installation can start.
  2. The installation must be carried out exactly as specified in the installation instructions found on the Capillary Concrete website; The Capillary Concrete Bunker Specification and installation guidlines.pdf
  3. Conducted tests;
    1. After the Capillary Concrete has been allowed to cure for at least 24 hours and it has been cleaned according to the instructions, carefully check that the surface is smooth and that there are no areas anywhere in the bunker where the material is loose in any way.
    2. By applying water equal to minimum 1 inch or 25 mm, make sure the entire surface drains perfectly and that there is no standing water anywhere in the bunker. Please watch this video: Video show the drainage test
  4. Photo documentation of the installation shall be mailed to Capillary Concrete of address bo@capillaryconcrete.com ;
    The photo documentation must be:

    1. Minimum one photo of the sub-grade showing drainage locations and conditions of each Capillary Concrete bunker.  This must be sent before start of the installation.
    2. Minimum 2 photos of each Capillary Concrete bunker after the installation is complete and the surface has been cleaned and tested for drainage, see above. One picture must be of the test of the drainage where water is being applied to the Capillary Concrete layer. The photo must be of good quality and allow a proper inspection of the result down to the detail in the surface of the Capillary Concrete.
    3. Each photo must be named as Golf Course Name-Hole No#-Bunker No#-Photo No# (1 is for before installation show groundwork, 2 is for the drainage test and 3 is after installation completed before the sand is put back) Example; ‘Evian-Hole 3-Bunker 2-1.jpg’ or ‘Evian-Hole 3-Bunker 2-3.jpg’
  5. The costs for materials and installation must be fully paid in accordance with agreed terms of payment by invoice from the vendor.
  6. The policyholder must submit an installation declaration on website www.capillaryconcrete.com/bunker-installation-program/ containing the following information;
    1. End user manager name, phone number and email address
    2. Client/Project Name, Project Address, Project City, Project State, Project Zip
    3. Installation Description (Bunker-, Tee-, Green- or Other installation)
    4. Hole number, how many bunker at this hole and total Square Feet installed (or square meter) at this hole
    5. Date Installation Completed
    6. Temperature during installation (Fahrenheit or Celsius)
    7. An installation approval that the installation is tested, accepted and approved by the end customer.

Appointed person who is responsible for the end customer and is responsible for the installation is done according to regulations and instructions and to leave the installation approval after installation is done:

  2. I have read and understand the Subgrade Preparation, Bunker Shaping and Drainage guidelines in the document “The Capillary Concrete Bunker Specification and installation guidelines”
  3. I have read and understand the Sand Selection and Testing guidelines
  4. I have read and understand that the Capillary Concrete Mix Design may vary from project to project based on aggregate and environmental conditions and will be finalized prior to the project start date by a Capillary Concrete representative if necessary.
  5. I will be responsible for following the conditions above.
